Hero of the Week: Yuri Williams

Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Hero of the Week… Find out how you can nominate a Hero of the Week at the bottom of the page.

This week, we received an email from Tina Anderson asking us to recognize Yuri Williams as an ACC Hero.

Yuri started A Future Superhero And Friends, a non-profit which holds fundraisers for a variety of events like blood drives, toy drives, as well as food and clothing collection campaigns for the homeless. Yuri was inspired to do good for people after he lost his mother to cancer. The initial idea of doing good started with visiting kids battling cancer dressed up as Spider-Man.

During the holiday break last year, Yuri dressed up as the “Santalorian”- a take on the Star Wars character The Mandalorian. He traveled to all fifty states visiting kids and delivering presents – that is a noble effort to put a smile on a lot of kids’ faces!

Kix’s Response:

Yuri Williams, we are happy to recognize you as this week’s ACC Hero. Thanks for all you do!
