Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Hero of the Week… Find out how you can nominate a Hero of the Week at the bottom of the page.
Two years ago, Aidan Jackson was at his home in England. The 17-year-old was in his room playing a video game when he suffered a seizure. The only person who noticed something was wrong was the person he was gaming with – a woman named Raven in Texas.
Raven realized something was wrong when he went silent. So, she immediately searched the internet for an emergency number in Aidan’s area. She was able to get paramedics to his house.
Aidan’s mom, who was home at the time, had no idea her son was in trouble. She was surprised when the paramedics came running in and up the stairs to Aidan’s room. Thankfully, they were able to revive him.
In 2020, Aidan and Raven finally met face-to-face thanks to The Tamron Hall Show which brought them both to New York City to share their story on television. Aidan is doing well and spends his free time raising money for life-saving defibrillators for his local community.

Kix’s Response:
We salute Raven, who had the good sense to search for emergency in a foreign country five thousand miles away to help a friend in trouble, as ACC’s Hero of the Week!
