This week, we shine the spotlight on this a story out of Spain. With just ten minutes left in a soccer game between Barcelona and Cadiz, the game abruptly stopped when someone in the stands needed emergency care.
Cadiz goalie Jeremias Ledesma grabbed his team’s medical equipment. He sprinted across the field and tossed it up to fans while the teams medical personnel went into action. They needed to use the defibrillator to resuscitate the man. After just a few minutes, he came to. He was then transferred to the hospital where he remains.
Ledesma is being called a hero for his quick action. He said that the game is just a game. It’s not life and death like it was for the man in the stands. He was happy he could help.
Unfortunately, when the game resumed, Cadiz fell to Barcelona 0-4.

Kix’s Response:
Despite his team taking a loss in the game, I think it was a win for Jeremias and especially the man he helped. Jeremias, you are this week’s ACC Hero.
