Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs, and Maren Morris Lead Country Nominees for the 65th Annual Grammy Awards

Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs, and Maren Morris are the leading country nominees for the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. All three artists received nods for Best Country Song and Best Country Album. Both Miranda and Maren found themselves in the Best Country Solo Performance category. And, for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, Miranda and Luke earned recognition for “Outrunnin’ Your Memory,” a song round on Luke’s Grammy-nominated album Growin’ Up.

Of note, Lady A’s Hillary Scott received a nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song due to her collaboration with For KING & COUNTRY. Bill Anderson and Dolly Parton are two names found in the Best American Roots Performance category for “Someday It’ll All Make Sense (Bluegrass Version).” And, for the first time this year, the Recording Academy is awarding a Grammy for Songwriter of the Year. Nashville hit songwriter Laura Veltz earned a nod in that inaugural category.

During the livestream of the nominations announcement, Dan + Shay performed their multi-week number one hit “Tequila.” The song awarded the duo the first of three consecutive Grammys in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category (2019 – “Tequila,” 2020 – “Speechless,” and 2021 – “10,000 Hours” with Justin Bieber). Jimmie Allen, a nominee in last year’s Best New Artist category, was on hand to present nominations, as well.

The 65th Annual Grammy Awards will air LIVE from Los Angeles on Sunday, February 5th, at 8/7c on CBS. For a complete list of nominations in all categories, visit Grammy.com.
