Hero of the Week: Glen Johnson

Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Hero of the Week… Find out how you can nominate a Hero of the Week at the bottom of the page.

This week, we received an email from Jamie Johnson, a woman who would like to nominate her husband Glen Johnson as our Hero of the Week. She writes:

Dear Kix,

My husband is a hero. Glen was the primary caregiver for his daughter who had been born with a brain injury. She wasn’t expected to live beyond a year. But, she ended up living under his care for 12 years. After her passing, he dedicated his entire life to caring for others and became an advanced EMT.

Glen has spent the last ten years caring for people – saving lives and seeing and enduring things that people should not bear witness to. He does it because he loves helping others in their times of need.

He is a selfless man, never meets a stranger and has been known to give the shirt off his back. He definitely deserves to be recognized for his acts of kindness and love.

Kindest regards,
Jamie

Kix’s Response:

Well, Jamie, we’re not gonna argue with you… It sounds like Glen is an incredible guy and clearly a hero to many! I’m happy to recognize Glen Johnson as our ACC Hero of the Week!
