Willie Nelson Collects Two Grammy Awards

Another Grammy Awards show is in the books, and country legend Willie Nelson added two trophies to his shelf. He claimed Best Country Solo Performance for “Live Forever” and Best Country Album for A Beautiful Time. This brings Willie’s career-to-date Grammy tally to 12 wins.

First-time winners Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde earned Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their chart-topping hit “Never Wanted To Be That Girl.” And, songwriters Matt Rogers and Ben Stennis won Best Country Song for “‘Til You Can’t,” a two-week number one recorded by Cody Johnson.

Three country artists took the stage for performances. Luke Combs sang his latest hit “Going, Going, Gone.” Kacey Musgraves paid tribute to Loretta Lynn with the singer-songwriter’s iconic “Coal Miner’s Daughter.” And, Chris Stapleton joined Steve Wonder to salute Motown legends Smokey Robinson and Barry Gordy, Jr.
