This week, we recognize the heroic work of police officer Hunter Willoughby in Ohio.
A call came in late one night that a mother was unable to feed her one-week-old baby after she couldn’t find formula. Officer Willoughby went to a closed grocery store and knocked on the windows to ask for help. When an employee saw the officer, she went to the door where he relayed the story of the mother that desperately needed formula.
After browsing the formula section, he decided on one and ran up to the register. The staffer told him that he’d probably also need a bottle, so Officer Willoughby went back to the aisle to find one. He was able to deliver all the items to the mother and her baby. The new mom offered him money, but he refused to accept it.
The police department said that this is just an example of how their officers serve their community in Miami Township, an area of Ohio just West of Cincinnati.

Now, I know our officers go the extra mile, but this is something special, huh? Us guys don’t know a lot about this stuff, so we’ve gotta give Officer Willoughby kudos on coming to the aid of that new mom.
