In December 2019, Thomas Rhett scored his 14th career number one with “Remember You Young” from his Center Point Road album. At the time, it was his eighth consecutive chart-topper.
Thomas was on the road in Arkansas and songwriters Ashley Gorley and Jesse Frasure had joined him on this trip. The guys started writing it about a frequent subject of Thomas’ songs, his wife, Lauren. Thomas admits that when he thinks of her, he pictures her at 16 when they were dating. TR loves the sentiment of the song, which is staying young, that no matter how old we get, we should strive to always remain youthful.
Before it was even released, Thomas started playing the song live, and the fans were soon singing along to every word. When he witnessed that, he knew he had something special.
