Chris Stapleton Leads CMA Awards Winners List

It was a trifecta for Chris Stapleton as he took home three wins at the 58th CMA Awards. The Kentucky singer-songwriter was named Male Vocalist of the Year while his hit “White Horse” swept the Song and Single categories. That brings Chris’ win tally to 19, tying him with Brooks & Dunn as the most-winning CMA Award winners of all time. And, speaking of B&D, not only did Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn turn in one of the most memorable performances of the night alongside Jelly Roll (“Believe”), but the guys received a shock when they were awarded their 15th Vocal Duo of the Year trophy.

Entertainer of the Year, the top prize of the evening, went to Morgan Wallen who wasn’t in attendance. Lainey Wilson won her third consecutive Female Vocalist of the Year title and was awarded Music Video of the Year for “Wildflowers And Wild Horses.” Old Dominion continued their Vocal Group of the Year winning streak. Cody Johnson’s Leather was named Album of the Year. Megan Moroney (New Artist), Ella Langley (Musical Event), and Riley Green (Musical Event) all were first-time winners. And, George Strait received the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award.

The 58th CMA Awards were hosted by Luke Bryan, Lainey Wilson, and Peyton Manning.
