During this pandemic, many families are isolated from their loved ones who are in nursing homes or hospitals. Oftentimes, they rely on nurses to FaceTime with their family members just so they can stay connected.
John Lynch, of New Jersey, had to say his final goodbyes to his father through FaceTime. John’s father was in a nursing home in Atlanta. And, due to the pandemic, he was unable to be with him for those last moments.
The experience inspired John to start Operation Connection: The iPad Project. Through his non-profit Lunch With Lynch Foundation, he has collected more than 60 iPads. They have been distributed to New Jersey’s Cape May County Medical Center, nursing homes, and hospitals across the country.
