Hero of the Week: Noland Keaulana

In Honolulu, Hawaii, a 17-year-old boy was rescued after drifting in the ocean for over 11 hours. He became separated from his team while kayaking. His 20-foot kayak capsized and left him stranded.

Off-duty lifeguard Noland Keaulana joined the search overnight. He refused to stop searching until he found the teen. The Coast Guard spotted the kayak early in the morning, and Noland quickly reached the area. He was overwhelmed with relief when he saw the boy was alive.

The teen is now stable, recovering from hypothermia.
