This week’s story comes from Kevin who writes…
Our story starts when I was 20. I was a skinny, hippie kid and never great with girls. But, my best friend was a ladies man, so when two attractive young women walked into a bar one night, he helped me out. Hustling over to secure the girls, he invited them to a table and then frantically waved me over. I headed that way and then picked the cutest one to sit by.
Well, the night was wonderful and we danced all evening, then, as she was ready to leave, she asked me, “Aren’t you going to give me a birthday kiss? I’m 18 tonight!” Of course, I managed to pull it off and from there the dating began.
We just celebrated our 40th anniversary and now have four kids and six grandchildren and spend almost every weekend at the Mississippi Coast casinos where we see great music, including Kix a few years ago.
We are still dancing and having more fun than ever. The only problem is I kiddingly tell my wife we’re not the greatest grandparents since we are always heading out to party instead of keeping the kids.
