Kix’s wife, Barbara, found this story online at People.com

Nineteen year-old, Aurburn, IL resident, Ashley Aldridge was preparing lunch for her two children when she heard a man crying for help.  So, she dropped her kids at a neighbor’s house and ran to the nearby railroad crossing.

There, she found 75-year-old Earl Moorman and his motorized scooter stuck on the tracks. And, a train was quickly approaching! Amazingly, Ashley somehow found that spirit inside – and was able to lift the 200 pound man out of his chair and clear the tracks right as that train was passing.  They escaped just in time but his chair was hit and exploded into a million pieces!  Thankfully, they were both okay.

Dave Beck, Earl’s son-in-law, met and thanked Ashley.  He says that he’s hugged her a million times and is forever indebted to her… because she risked her life to save a stranger!
