Kix found this story on a website called DailyGood. He receives their quotes every day, and he came across this cool story and wanted to share it:

Eugene Bostick is an 80-year-old retiree from Fort Worth, Texas. He lives on a street where people tend to leave their unwanted dogs.  So, Eugene and his brother began adopting them. They gave them food and took them to the vet – the whole nine yards.  He also started taking them for rides on his tractor through the neighborhood and woods.

Then, one day, he saw another man who had attached carts to his tractor for pulling rocks, and Eugene had a great idea! He thought he could do the same but make it a train for the dogs.  So, he got some plastic barrels and cut holes in them, then he put wheels under the barrels and tied them together…and voila, the dog train was born!

Now, Eugene takes his rescued dogs on a train ride twice a week and says that anytime they hear him hooking up the tractor, they get so excited!

Eugene says that he plans on keeping up the rescue dog train as long as he can because the dogs really enjoy it!

Kix’s Response:

Isn’t that cool?!?! I loved the picture, too – all those dogs sitting there like people just enjoying the ride!!!
