This week, we’ve chosen some very deserving men and women as our Heroes thanks to an email from Jason. He writes:

Dear Kix,

I’d like to nominate those people around the world who care for our wounded warriors as Heroes of the Week.

My wife, and many like her, has been serving our country in a way that’s often gone under the radar. We all know about the soldiers coming home with PTSD and other combat wounds, but too often these selfless individuals are overlooked, and they are dealing with the aftermath.

My own wife, for example, has had to deal with my depressive thoughts and actions and often my extreme moods and language.   She doesn’t deserve it, but she’s an amazing woman who’s determined to help me through, and I know she’s not alone…

That’s why, I nominate all the caregivers of wounded warriors as heroes!

I appreciate you sharing this, Kix!

Signed,

Jason

Kix’s Response:

Thank you, Jason! You’re a good man to recognize your wife and all the folks who help our vets coming home from this conflict and ones in the past – they are heroes indeed!
