Dann emailed us about someone he feels deserves to be recognized as our Kidde Hero of the Week. He writes:

Dear Kix,

I’m contacting you about an amazing young man named Alex Hummel. At nine years old, he saw a commercial about wounded military veterans in need, and he was so moved that he insisted on doing something to help!

Now, a few years later, he’s started a group called The Keystone Iron Warrior Foundation. Their mission is to provide support to U.S. military veterans, and their loved ones, affected by the emotional and physical trauma suffered during active-duty.

To date, the organization has raised thousands of dollars through donations and fundraising, and they’ve been able to help countless wounded vets and families, including myself, live better lives. So, Alex is certainly a deserving hero!

Thanks, Kix!

Signed,

Dann

Kix’s Response:

Thanks, Dann, and from everybody here at ACC, thank you for your service. And, a big atta-boy going out to you, Alex! You keep up the good work!
