My team and I are always looking for emails or news articles that highlight someone we think deserves to be our Kidde Hero of the Week, and we found one that really embodies the spirit of a Labor Day weekend. One of our listeners Corey sent this message and writes:
Hey Kix,
I’d like to nominate my father for Hero of the Week.
The plant that he worked at for the past 28 years closed down. And, now he has to find a new job and change his entire schedule.
What I learned from watching how he handled everything is that no matter what, you do NOT give up! You continue to push forward and just make it happen.

Today, we recognize all the hard-working Americans out there – the ones holding on to the values that made our country great. The ones who are not giving up, getting up every morning and punching the clock to keep this country ticking. And, for those of you out of work, hey, keep at it! Find your place in this new world if your old world has change, and I have faith that things are gonna work out for those who keep believing!
