This week’s song is one of the only “love songs” Carrie Underwood ever wrote. Carrie felt they were too cliché, so when she got together with Zach Crowell and Ashley Gorley to write for her Storyteller album, Carrie said that she wanted to write something not like a fairytale.
The word “heartbeat” came up, and the three started writing about a simple sort of love. Well, the song they created would become Carrie’s 23rd #1!
