Kix TV: Cole Swindell

For a young artist who has only released two albums, Cole Swindell has sure racked up the hits. In August 2013, the Georgia native released his debut single “Chillin’ It,” which eventually made it all the way to number one. Ever since then, each and every one of Cole’s singles has reached the top of the chart, and he’s currently working towards another number one with his latest “Middle of a Memory.” So, for all those keeping a tally, that would make six consecutive number one hits…and that’s not even counting all the chart-toppers he wrote for other artists like Luke BryanFlorida Georgia Line and Thomas Rhett.

This fall, Cole releases his Down Home Sessions III EP and partners with CMT to launch his third annual Down Home Tour. But, before all of that happened, Cole stopped by the studio to talk with Kix about writing songs and his evolution as an artist. Plus, Cole and Kix discuss dealing with their private and public personas as artists.
