This week, Kix shares his story:
"I’m gonna get you guys warmed up with my very own story – how I met my lovely wife Barbara all those years ago – 32 to be exact! I was living up in Maine – never gonna get married, never gonna have kids, living off the land playing bars and singing country music.
I was dating this girl up there and she had a party. She invited a bunch of her friends and everything was rocking along. I’m sitting at the piano banging out some Hank Williams song and I look up and standing at the door was the most beautiful hot brunette I’d ever seen. I got up and stumbled across the room and in my own shy way said, "Hey, I’m Kix Brooks. Who are you?" And, I think it was the only thing I said all night that made any sense!
I think my girlfriend at the time may have been a little upset with me, but I couldn’t help myself and 30-something years later, we’re still dating!!!
Haha… it can work folks!"
