When it came time to record his third studio album for The Valory Music Company, Justin Moore decided to change things up a bit by combining the traditional roots of country with more modern sounds. The result is Off The Beaten Path, a project that stretches Justin's musical boundaries while staying true to the core of what fans have come to love about Justin's music through the years. Justin explains, "It was my goal on this album to stay true to who I am as an artist and that fact that I love traditional country, but, at the same time, I had to grow as an artist. The fans are changing and so you've gotta keep changing along with it, but the trick was again trying to do that and be what it is that's gotten me to this point." He continues, "This is definitely the most diverse album I've done. The nucleus of this album is still what people are accustomed to hearing from me but maybe a little fresher sounding, but at the same time there are songs on there that earlier in my career I wouldn't have cut."
"Point at You," the debut single from the album, has definitely caught the attention of fans which has resulted in being Justin's fastest rising single to date. Along with "Point at You," fans can expect to hear collaborations with Miranda Lambert ("Old Habits") and the legendary Charlie Daniels ("For Some Ol Redneck Reason"). Justin shares, "I've never done a duet so it's really cool to have both Miranda Lambert and Musicians Hall of Famer Charlie Daniels agree to join me on a couple of songs."
Along with releasing new music, Justin looks forward to hitting the road on his second headlining tour this fall. The Off The Beaten Path Tour will feature guests Randy Houser and Josh Thompson and travel to 57-cities before it wraps up in the spring of 2014. Look for Justin and the guys to visit a town near you once the tour launches on November 1st in Springfield, Missouri.
