Dear Kix,
We love your new American Country Countdown feature "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not?" so much so that we felt compelled to share our story. So, here it is:
Rich and I originally met in 1986 when we were students at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Thankfully, a friend in my dorm convinced me to attend an "Ice Cream Social" on campus. It was there where Rich and I met…and we ended up dating that entire semester. We knew there was definitely a future and plan for our life together immediately.
Fast forward to our wedding September 6, 1997… and Rich surprised me and sang George Strait's song "I Cross My Heart” because we’ve always said the words are so parallel to our feelings for one another! Happy to report that now, we’ve just celebrated 16 beautiful years of marriage this year!
