Tammy's Cranberry Orange Sauce

1 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
3 cups whole cranberries, fresh or frozen
3/4 to 1 teaspoon McCormick's Pure Orange extract

Makes approximately 2 1/4 cups

In a 2 quart or medium saucepan, bring water and sugar to boiling point over medium heat. Add cranberries and return to boil, reducing heat to "gently boiling" for ten minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and add orange extract.

Let cool to room temp. in saucepan, stirring occasionally. Pour cooled sauce neatly into a glass serving dish. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until serving.

Note: Tammy says that she makes this a day ahead and usually doubles this recipe. Sauce will keep nicely for several days in refrigerator and is even great frozen and thawed for later use.
