Ask Kix…Everything you wanna know about country music! Our listeners submit their questions about country music and Kix will answer…

This week's question is from Kelly in Minnesota who writes…

Dear Kix,

I was just wondering how performers wind down after putting on a show. That adrenaline rush has to be such a high!!!

Sincerely,
Kelly

PS: Thanks for putting on such a good program on Sunday mornings! My boyfriend and I LOVE listening to it!!!

Kix's Response:

Well, Kelly, I think that’s a little different for everyone.  I remember I used to just like hanging out with the band and talking about the show and what happened that night and have a cold drink, but when we had Toby Keith and Montgomery Gentry and Keith Urban out touring with us, we started going out to clubs after our shows and sitting in with the house bands and that’s really fun!

For the most part though, it’s just reliving the night in the dressing room afterwards with the guys who help you make the music – what the crowd brings to the evening is really special and I wish everyone could get a chance to see it from where we’re standing – the dancing and singing and laughing – and occasionally the fighting. You guys are the real show!

Thanks for your question, Kelly!
