Our Kidde Hero of the Week spotlights Paul Woodruff.

Brandi emailed us and wrote about her Hero story and we wanted to share it with you:

Dear Kix,

My brother Paul Woodruff is my hero and he got his wings a week before Thanksgiving. Paul was always a more concerned about others than himself…the epitome of a Good Samaritan.  And, last year was no different.

He was heading home early from work when he pulled over to help an elderly couple change their tire. Paul was underneath their mini-van and the spare was underneath.  As he tried to get it to loosen, the van came off the jack and fell on him. Paul suffered a massive heart attack and, without oxygen, he was left brain dead. We lost him after a week on life support.

My brother Paul was a newlywed of just four months and a new grandfather, as well. He will always be missed but he will always be a HERO to all of us who knew him!

Kudos to all the Good Samaritans out there!

Thanks Kix,
Brandi

Kix's Response:

Man, what terrible luck, but you’re right… Kudos to all the folks out there trying to help out their neighbors. Let’s all try to do our part.
