Dear Kix,
It will be 30 years ago this December that my true love and I pledged our love for each other. What makes that so special to me is that I was only 12 years old and he was 13 years old! He asked me to "go with him" while on the playground during recess! And, the rest, they say, is history.
We were married eight years after that! We will celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary on August 1st and I love him more now than ever! He is definitely my best friend in the world and I also still think he's pretty hot! We have two great kids, who are now teenagers, and it's so surreal to look at them and think that we were a couple even at their young age.
Our 15 year-old son calls it "old love" when we kiss or hug each other in front of him. We just tell him "old love" is the best kind! I wonder what he'll think in 30 more years! That will be some really "old love!"
