Jessica emailed us her Hero nomination…
Dear Kix,
I really want to share a recent experience I had that was just incredible.
I went on a tour of Ireland with my choir group from school. At Shannon Airport, on our way home, we saw a group of U.S. Air Force troops. They were on their way home from Afghanistan and we decided to honor them by singing the National Anthem right then and there. We were so thankful for them, and it was an amazing way to show our appreciation. If not for their bravery fighting for our freedom, we could not have gone on a tour of Ireland.
After we finished singing, every single one of the soldiers shook our hands and thanked us and they said we’d never know just how much that us singing to them had meant. It was such an incredible experience.
