Dear Kix,
My now husband and I have always loved the song that goes with this feature because it was the exact words I said to him on our first date.
To tell our story I have to take you back…
I got pregnant with my first son at the age of 15 and had him when I was 16. I married his father and we had another son two years later. Unfortunately, the marriage was abusive and I left before our second son was born.
When my second son was born and my first son was one-and-a-half years old, I met the love of my life. We dated for two weeks before he asked me to marry him and this week we've been married for 22 years! We added two girls of our own to our family and my boys have always meant as much to him as our girls.
I thank God for giving me a second chance for the life I always hoped I would have.
