This week’s story is from Ashli who emailed us…
Dear Kix,
My name is Ashli and my boyfriend is Ty. When I first met Ty, he was sitting on a bench playing guitar with some friends. I was drawn to him immediately and knew that I needed to get to know him. We met briefly and parted ways, but a year later we crossed paths again. He heard that I loved to sing and asked if I wanted to make music with him sometime, so I kept my cool and gave him my number.
When we finally got together, about a week later, he was trying to teach me to sing while making eye contact. He sang Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s "I Need You" and I felt like he really meant every word he was singing to me. That was the moment we both fell in love! We stayed up until 6AM singing together and getting to know each other.
Now, five months later, we live together with our four month old puppy and couldn't be happier. Country music is something we hold dear to our hearts and our relationship. We still sing together and make music everyday and our recent favorite song to sing to each other is another Tim McGraw hit "Shotgun Rider."

Ty, you, devil, you!!! Hey, I can’t say music didn’t help me land my girl – us geeks got to do whatever we can, and it sounds like you two are having a lot of fun together. And, yes, it’s always good to see if you can survive a puppy before you take it to the next level. And, I like that "Shotgun Rider" song that McGraw has out – good words to live by!
